Affordable Class A and Class B AIS Receiver.

The Icom MXA5000 AIS Receiver increases vessel safety by allowing the user to monitor vessel traffic. The MXA 5000 AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver monitors Class A and Class B data from other vessels and sends that data to your chartplotter to view on-screen. You will be able to access and view information like vessel call sign, name, MMSI number, vessel dimensions, vessel type, voyage information and navigation information. All you need is a NMEA compatible chartplotter, VHF radio and VHF antenna and you are ready.

The Icom MXA5000 has two data outputs to allow for a wider array of applications. The RS-422 connection can connect to equipment like radar and a GPS chartplotter. The RS-232 port is for connection to a PC. The MXA-5000 doesn’t take up much room either at only 6.25”W x 1.25”H x 7”D.
